JoAn and Kyle Loyd are longtime educators who live in Houston with their three children, ages 6, 4, and 2. Their family’s journey took on new purpose four years ago when their middle daughter was born with symbrachydactyly, an upper limb difference affecting the development of her fingers on her left hand. Since then, they have become deeply committed to advocacy, awareness, and fostering inclusivity for all children with differences.
The Loyds are thrilled about the opportunity to join and grow with the WRTS and Bellaire communities and look forward to contributing to a space where all children feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated.
We Rock the Spectrum is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for ALL children. Our sensory-based gym features specialized equipment often found only in occupational and physical therapy settings, including suspended swings, climbing structures, rolling scooters, jumping equipment, and safe crash areas.
These activities are designed to be both fun and developmentally beneficial, supporting strength, movement, sensory processing, communication, social skills, behavior regulation, and self-care. Our gym also includes sensory-based toys and fine-motor and craft areas that allow children of all abilities to play, grow, and explore together.
In addition to Open Play and We Rock Care, we offer unique birthday parties and structured programs in a welcoming environment where every child has a place to belong, imagine, and thrive.
